Leo Albuquerque

With over 7 years of professional experience, Leo Albuquerque is recognized for his unique technique that combines the precision of micro realism with the delicacy of fine line. A Brazilian based in London, he brings the perfect fusion of Latin creativity and European sophistication to his work. Since childhood, drawing has always been my refuge.

I would doodle on notebooks, walls, and any blank space I could find. This passion for visual expression led me to architecture, a field that seemed to combine creativity and technique in a fascinating way. In college, I dove into projects, calculations, and models, but something was still missing. I had always been curious about tattoos, and it was within this academic environment that this interest began to grow.

I decided to take a specialized course, and the moment I held the tattoo machine for the first time, I felt I had found a new way to express myself. Even while working as an architect, I never stopped tattooing friends on the weekends. Each session was a rediscovery, a step closer to what truly made me come alive.

Over time, I realized that architecture no longer fulfilled me in the same way—and tattooing was taking up more and more space in my life. When I moved cities with my family, I saw more than just a simple change: I saw an opportunity for a fresh start.

I left behind the rigid lines of architecture and immersed myself in the fluidity of skin as a canvas. In 2017, I became a professional tattoo artist, and today, I transform stories into art—art that lives, breathes, and walks the world.
